Important announcement

After the extensive contacts and meetings conducted by the representative at the level of the competent authorities, the last of which was his meeting with the Minister Delegate responsible for communities abroad, to solve the problem of passports and travel documents (Laissez-Passer) from which some of our community suffered, as the Minister promised to solve the issue quickly.
The Representative's Office is pleased to notify all members of our esteemed community that the Representative has received communications from official authorities confirming that the problem of the travel document (Laissez-Passer) has been resolved.
Therefore, Mauritanians who are on American soil who wish to travel to the country and who do not hold a passport for any reason, can contact the embassy to submit a request for a travel document to replace a passport that will enable them to cross airports to head to the homeland.
It is worth noting that the representative is in intensive contact with those concerned to resolve the issue of renewing the passport at the level of the Mauritanian embassy in the United States of America, which we hope the authorities will respond to as soon as possible, as delaying its solution would disrupt the interests of our case.
